Sleeper have announced their biggest headline UK tour since they reformed a decade ago.
Opening at Nottingham Rock City on Friday 12th March 2027, Sleeper play Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Bristol, London, Brighton and Norwich before concluding at Birmingham O2 Institute on Saturday 3rd April 2027.
Supporting Sleeper at all 10 concerts are the brilliant Turin Brakes. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 16th October.
Sleeper’s tour follows the Friday 12th February release of Sleeper’s sixth studio album ‘End of the World’, which features the newly premiered title track.
“I’m really looking forward to taking this album out on the road,” says Absolute Radio’s very own Louise Wener.
“These new songs mean a lot to me, and I think they’re going to sound fantastic live. There’s something wonderful about finally playing them in a room with people and making that emotional connection with a crowd. We’re so excited that Turin Brakes are joining us – we’ve been fans for a long time, so it’s going to be a special combination.”
Written and recorded between Paris and Manchester and produced by Joe Cross (The Courteeners, Hurts), ‘End of the World’ moves through grief, regret, loneliness, heartbreak and renewal, ultimately becoming a record about finding the strength to let go and reclaim yourself.
Whereas 2019’s The Modern Age marked Sleeper’s return to the studio and a reconnection with their identity as a band, End of the World captures an artist discovering what she has to say now. Despite its emotional weight, the album is sonically bold and euphoric, with Wener’s trademark earworm hooks and anthemic choruses running throughout.
