Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton

Fresh from confirming a series of special guest performances with Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts, Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton have announced four of their own headline UK shows for summer 2026.

As the title suggests, the Radio Soul! – The Early Songs of Elvis Costello Tour will see the band perform classic tracks from Costello’s formative years.

The setlist boasts Elvis Costello songs from ‘My Aim Is True’ in 1977 to ‘Blood & Chocolate’ in 1986, along with other surprises. Enduring tracks include ‘Watching the Detectives’, ‘I Want You’, ‘Alison,’ ‘Man Out Of Time’ and ‘Brilliant Mistake.’

Opening at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday 13th June, the tour visits London Royal Albert Hall (Mon 15thJune) and Portsmouth Guildhall (Fri 26th June), before concluding at Newcastle O2 City Hall on Monday 6th July.

Tickets  are on sale now.

Elvis Costello says: “For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago. Among them, ‘Radio Soul,’ the first draft of what eventually became ‘Radio Radio’.

“You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure. Don’t forget this show is “Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters”, an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new.

“They are nobody’s tribute band. The Imposters are a living, breathing, swooning, swinging, kicking and screaming rock and roll band who can turn their hands to a pretty ballad when the opportunity arises.”

The Imposters are Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher and they are joined once again by guitarist Charlie Sexton.
